Can AI really replace a marketing agency? We put Google's new Pomelli tool to the test by attempting to launch a full product launch campaign for a fictional organic juice brand—in under 10 minutes.
🎯 The Challenge
Brand: "Zest & Zen" (Organic Juices)
Goal: Create 5 Instagram Stories, 3 LinkedIn Posts, and a Launch Email.
Time Limit: 10 Minutes.
Minute 1-3: The Setup & Brand DNA
I started by entering the URL of a dummy landing page I created. Pomelli instantly scanned it.
What amazed me was how it picked up the exact hex code for our "Matcha Green" (#84cc16). It didn't just guess "green"; it got the brand shade right. It also identified our font as 'Playfair Display' and set the tone to "Energetic & Health-Conscious".
Minute 5: Generating the Assets
Here is the prompt I used:
"Generate a launch campaign for our new 'Ginger Kick' flavor. Focus on morning energy without the caffeine crash. Visuals should be bright, sunny, and feature outdoor lifestyle shots."
Pomelli took about 45 seconds to "think". Then, it spit out a dashboard of assets.
The Results: What We Got
1. Instagram Stories
The AI generated 5 story slides with a consistent narrative arc. The images (powered by Imagen 3) featured realistic-looking bottles of our juice in the hands of hikers. The text overlay was perfectly legible and used our brand font.
2. The LinkedIn Post
This was surprising. It wrote a professional, industry-focused post about the "rise of functional beverages" to announce the product, rather than a salesy consumer ad. It understood the platform context perfectly.
💡 Pro Tip
Always cycle through the "Remix" options. The first result is good, but the third or fourth variation often has a more dynamic layout.
The Verdict
I finished at the 08:45 mark. In less than 10 minutes, I had assets that would have taken a designer at least 4 hours to create.
Is it perfect? The hands in one image were slightly off (classic AI issue), but for a free tool, the ROI is infinite.
